Writer’s Guidelines

Writers on this Web site are strongly encouraged to read and follow the guidelines. Suggestions and comments are also welcome.

  • Article titles will use title case (every important word is captialized).
  • Links will use keywords, not “Click here” or any other generic term for indicating links. The reason for this is to increase our search engine hits.
  • Web is always capitalized, to adhere to AP style. AP style requires the use of a capital letter when referring to the World Wide Web: Web site, the Web, Web page. Note that Web site is two words.
  • Teaser text, seen on Front, Section and Category pages, will be no longer than 50 words. The ideal length is between 30 – 40 words. This text should use as many keywords as possible, to increase search engine hits. More on teaser text to come.
