Based on research done by CAST, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) acknowledges that each learner is unique in the way that they process information. According to the UDL Book Builder Web site (opens in a new window) users can create their own digital books to “engage and support diverse learners according to their individual needs, interests, and skills.”. At this site, users can create digital books using the simple tools provided to include text, images, and audio files. The site also provides users with resources to learn about different UDL  principles and ways to incorporate them into their books to further support reading comprehension.
