The NCSeT staff at the University of Oregon have been hard at work over the Summer and Fall expand the NCSeT Research Literature Database . They have conducted an extensive search to gather relevant literature on supported electronic text that particularly addresses the needs of students with learning disabilities in secondary settings. A total of 139 new references were collected, tagged, and entered into database.
Two different approaches were used in this search. First, key word searches were conducted in the Academic Search Premier Database using key terminology related to supported electronic text (e.g. presentational, navigational, text-to-speech, etc) and/or students with learning disabilities. Second, an initial set of relevant journals was identified, and issues published over the last 15 years were examined for relevant papers. Click on the links below to see the results of this search:
- Journal of Educational Multimedia and Hypermedia
- Journal of Educational Computing Research
- British Journal of Educational Technology
- Annals of Dyslexia
- Journal of Research in Reading
- Journal of Special Education
- Technology and Disability
- Journal of Learning Disabilities
- Journal of Special Education Technology
- Reading Research Quarterly
- Computers in Human Behavior
- Learning Disability Quarterly
Currently we are gathering papers written or suggested by members of the NCSeT Technical Review Board. We'll expand this search to other members of the NCSeT community starting in January 2009.
